Springerdoodle colors

A Springerdoodle inherits its colour from both parents — the English Springer Spaniel and the Poodle. Here are the colours you'll commonly see, which are rarer, and which come with a health note.

Liver & white

Classic Springer colour; common.

Black & white

Common.

Tri-colour

Black/liver, white and tan.

Roan

Flecked/ticked pattern from the Springer.

Solid chocolate

From the Poodle side.

Solid black

Also seen.

Rarer colours are often priced higher by breeders, but colour has no effect on health or temperament — don't pay a premium for a "rare" colour alone. Coat colour can also shift as a puppy matures. See how it works.
