Labradoodle colors

A Labradoodle inherits its colour from both parents — the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. Here are the colours you'll commonly see, which are rarer, and which come with a health note.

ColourNotes
CreamVery common.
CaramelGolden-caramel; popular.
RedRich copper.
ChocolateFrom the Poodle side.
BlackCommon with a black parent.
SilverChocolate or black that clears to silver; from Poodle lines.
PartiWhite + a second colour; rarer.
PhantomTan-point pattern; uncommon.

Rarer colours are often priced higher by breeders, but colour has no effect on health or temperament — don't pay a premium for a "rare" colour alone. Coat colour can also shift as a puppy matures. See how it works.
