Bordoodle colors
A Bordoodle inherits its colour from both parents — the Border Collie and the Poodle. Here are the colours you'll commonly see, which are rarer, and which come with a health note.
Classic Border Collie look; most common.
Black, white and tan.
Chocolate/red with white.
Common.
Only from a merle parent — read the health note below.
Banded hairs.
Colour chips are illustrative approximations, not exact.
⚠️ About merle Bordoodles: merle is a beautiful pattern, but breeding two merle dogs together can produce "double-merle" puppies with a high risk of deafness and blindness. A responsible breeder never pairs merle × merle. Read the merle genetics & health guide →
Rarer colours are often priced higher by breeders, but colour has no effect on health or temperament — don't pay a premium for a "rare" colour alone. Coat colour can also shift as a puppy matures. See how it works.
