Irish Doodle colors

A Irish Doodle inherits its colour from both parents — the Irish Setter and the Poodle. Here are the colours you'll commonly see, which are rarer, and which come with a health note.

Red

Classic rich Irish Setter red; most common.

Mahogany

Deep dark-red.

Apricot

Lighter warm tone.

Cream

Less common.

Black

From a black Poodle parent.

Chocolate

From the Poodle side.

Parti

Red/white; rarer.

Rarer colours are often priced higher by breeders, but colour has no effect on health or temperament — don't pay a premium for a "rare" colour alone. Coat colour can also shift as a puppy matures. See how it works.
